I am so glad to be involved with the animation “RWBY” being produced in Japan. We are producing it with the Japanese animation method while keeping the charm of the original animation with dynamic and sharp action scenes along with enjoyable conversations between the characters. Through a lot of trial and error, we continue to improve and aim for a beautiful imagery through graphic processing and hand-drawn action. Through this new animation, I want to continue delivering the success of team RWBY. For those that are new to “RWBY”, I want to introduce the charm of the story and characters. For the original fans, I want to deliver a new way for them to enjoy “RWBY”.

Since I received the offer from Aki-san from Good Smile Company, this project has progressed while overcoming various challenges, and I cannot thank all the staff enough for everything they have done to complete “RWBY: Ice Queendom”. The story composition of this project is easy to understand for newcomers to the “RWBY” series. We hope that both new and original “RWBY” fans will enjoy it!

My involvement started when Producer X approached me and asked if I knew what “RWBY” was. To be honest, I did not know about it, but was became interested in it and watched it immediately. I became fascinated with it right away! I saw a fantasy world that was full of action scenes, but also came across many stories that most teenagers likely experience such as family problems and racial discrimination. There were many things I thought I could learn so I joined the production. I was really stimulated by this project and hope that I can help spread the charm of the “RWBY” world.

I am huke, an illustrator. It has been 10 years since I was impressed by the insanely awesome 3D short animation RWBY “RED” Trailer and never thought I would be able to take part in “RWBY”. I am honored to participate in “RWBY” which is special to me.
CAST
Ruby Rose
Saori Hayami
I'm delighted to be involved in the new story of “RWBY” as Ruby Rose. When I heard the voice of Yoko Hikasa as Weiss, Yu Shimamura as Blake, and Aimi Koshimizu as Yang at the dubbing studio, I immediately thought, "It's team RWBY!"
Please look forward to what kind of world will unfold in “RWBY: Ice Queendom”. Check out the video and music together!
Weiss Schnee
Yoko Hikasa
“RWBY” is an overseas animation made by people who love Japan and Japanese animation. I had thought, “What will become of it if it’s made in Japan with full respect to the original?” “RWBY: Ice Queendom” is filled with such excitement! There are overwhelming battle motions and beautiful matte illustrations along with the growth of the young characters. While voicing Weiss, I have found a new Weiss since there are a lot of Japanese-specific imagery and thought-provoking psychological depictions. I know it is worth waiting for!
Blake Belladonna
Yu Shimamura
I knew that people in the US liked the Japanese-dubbed version, but I never expected it would come to this! To be honest, I am surprised! I cannot believe it! When recording “RWBY: Ice Queendom”, I was confused at first since I did not hear Arryn’s voice which had always been by my side. However, it is the time we show the bond we have built through many seasons! I am going to have fun at this new challenge with all of you who love “RWBY”. I hope you will love it!
Yang Xiao Long

One of the amazing points of “RWBY” are the story and action that the unique characters make. Each character is so unique that I think there are no side characters. The angle of the action scenes is so unique, it has the appeal of drawing people in. We, the voice cast, are excited how every character is depicted in “RWBY: Ice Queendom”. I will try my best acting Yang, who always watches over Ruby as her old sister. Please look forward to it!
